Music Reflection

this is me playing my music composition for the second time and i still need to improve the breathing technique and the fingering

April 5. 2011
today is our first meeting as term 4 for music class. today in class we talked about term 4 topics such as read the notation and mr herry explained to us about Rondo form because later on we have to make our own composition using Finale software. for next week i will start my music composition and try to finish it. i will start to re update my blog again and try to upload the video.

today mr. herry explained to us about how to composed a song using Finale and we have to submit our homework about our own music composition. today we also perform the tiki tan and mr herry will gave us the percentage. for next week i'll finish my music compostion in the form of Finale and send it to Mr Herry and print it.

today Mr Herry told us that we're gonna have to perform singing solo performance for Indonesia Pusaka by Ismail Marzuki. we try to sing it together and we try to memorize the song so we can sing it appropriately and not bring the lyrics. below this is the video of me practicing the song Indonesia Pusaka.

today we practice Indonesia Pusaka song and we memorize the lyrics together. with the help of Mr. Harry, he also taught is the theory of singing a song and we have to breath using our diagphrama, so the voice will be nice to hear. and we also listen to the song of "You've got a friend", at home i will practice the song and take a video of it to be uploaded in my blog.

Alden : the voice is too low and the tone is flat and he doesnt really take it seriously (5)
Allen : the voice is bariton but he sings it nicely and the pitch is good enough (8)
Benny : at first the voice is flat and he cant control the pitch but his confidence is good enough. (6)

today we did a quiz about notation and we submit the finale for own music composition. for next meeting i will bring the hardcopy and practice the song of You've got a friend" . for this song we can do it with a partner or 3 persons.

today we did our reflection on our performance  yesterday. today we also tried to practice our own music composition in fromt of the class along with our instrument. today we also have our instrument class longer so we can practice our music with our teacher and let him correct our work.

today we heard the rest of our friend's finale and we gave them the feedback. after that er can go to our instrument class to practice our music. during the instrument class i did the warming up and then play my song in front of Mr. Harry, for next week i'll practice my song over and over again.

today we watched the videos from youtube so it will help us and motivate us to learn music and intersted in music, after that we ahve our instrument class and we basically practice as usual, for next meeting i will sub,it my final music composition for the hardcopy.

oday we practiced our song music composition again and then today we also practiced our song again in the instrument class and tomorrow on Thursday, i will sumbit my hardcopy and softcopy for the music Finale. above is the picture of me practicing the last time before my performance.

today we practiced our music composition in front of the class and then we gave the feedback, almost all student need some practice so they will get full mark during do the performance next meeting, some of the student really needs to practice in the fingering and for the flute we have to practice either in the breathing or the fingering also.

today we perform our music composition and this is also the final task for our music class. we watched our friend's performance but for today we dont have to write the feedback just pay attention to them. today i'll also submit and upload all the video as my final re update.
